Canada Pavilion at COP30
Join us at the Canada pavilion at the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). COP30 will be taking place in Belém, Brazil, from November 10-21, 2025.
The Canada pavilion at COP provides a central networking hub for partners and stakeholders to showcase Canadian climate leadership and innovation – offering a platform for all levels of government, Indigenous Peoples, civil society, private sector, labour, and youth to share their perspectives, foster new partnerships and collaboration, and promote Canada’s climate action.
The Canada pavilion brings together key partners and stakeholders from Canada and around the world to help advance global action on climate change, address biodiversity loss and plastic pollution, and promote ambition, implementation, and partnership.

Objectives
At COP30 in Belém, the Canada pavilion will showcase the breadth of Canadian climate leadership and innovation by adhering to the following objectives:
Demonstrate Canada’s commitment to meaningful climate action and low carbon economic development
Profile Canadian innovation in clean technologies, sustainable energy, and digital transition to position Canada’s economy for the future
Highlight innovative partnerships facilitating greater deployment of capital towards climate and environment-related objectives
Promote integrated approaches that address the interconnected challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss, and plastic pollution
Promote Indigenous climate leadership as critical to ensuring a healthy environment and sustainable future
Underscore Canada’s commitment to democracy and human rights values as integral to creating opportunities for all
Event Applications
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) is now accepting applications for events that will make up the Canada pavilion events program at COP30. The event application intake process will be open from September 12 to September 25, 2025. Only applications submitted through the online portal will be considered.

Application Criteria
Event applications will be assessed against criteria including:
- Relevance to the Canada pavilion objectives
- Alignment with the COP30 thematic days
- Interconnectedness of climate action and collaborative approaches
- International applicability and impact
- Creative and innovative event formats
- Language diversity (with priority given to events delivered in French or bilingually)
- Indigenous representation
- Diversity of speakers (gender diversity, youth participation, inclusion of historically underrepresented people in Canada)
- Convening power of speakers
- Regional representation, including within Canada and around the world

Environment and Climate Change Canada has engaged MCI as the Event Management Team (EMT) to support the Canada pavilion program at COP30 in Brazil.
